Reasons why computer problems seem to mysteriously vanish as soon as a technician shows up:

  • You were spacing out and skipping a step somewhere without realising it, and you can’t reproduce it when you try to demonstrate it because now you’re paying attention to what you’re doing

  • It’s an intermittent electrical connection fault that’s being aggravated by movement/vibrations in your desk; you need to check your cables

  • The act of explaining the problem to someone caused you to figure out what you were doing wrong

  • The real cause of the problem was somewhere upstream of your terminal device – for example, at the network service provider – and it got fixed at the source while you were waiting

  • Your computer is in a location with poor airflow and is overheating; waiting for the technician to arrive gave it a chance to cool off

  • Despite all appearances to the contrary, modern computers actually have very good fault recovery, and most minor problems will sort themselves out on their own if you give it a minute

I’m just wondering what Oketra or Kefnut are going to have.

Kefnut had a ‘draw, bounce a land if you want’ ability, while Oketra made tokens. So…Kefnut might have a ‘reveal X cards, put all (lands in play//nonlands in hand) and discard the rest’ ability to merge the ‘draw’/’land focus’ aspect, while Oketra…Amass ability where X=large?

Amass is in Grixis this set, but a mythic rare of a character from Amonkhet is the perfect excuse to put it in white despite the Zombies!
(I’d like to abuse some ETBs or cast triggers with Khefnet as well. Not sure exactly what but I guess Rhonas is the most immediate example at hand if they’re in a simic deck together– growth elves are also fine there, while a wellspring or just resetting a land are the first thing I think of for mono-blue?)

Though now that you mention it, a villain whose leitmotif is a Seinfeld style bass sting would also be very good.

Concept:
One or more characters are aware of the musical queues of the show and actively comment on them from time to time. Occasionally one will begin but they just aren’t feeling like that today, so they do something incongruous with it.

Oh, aha! So they used the Raze-boar to finish out the cycle because Hazoret’s still on Amonkhet, not eternalized. I see; that’s clever and I really should have seen that coming yesterday (I’m distracted by Uni crunch time, though).
Xenagod, God of Revels deck with Momentous Fall and such.

But also stack a deck full of overrun effects that come with extra riders like vigilance and indestructibility (Song of Freyalise front and center). Not sure what colors I want to do it in, though; there are plenty of great options– I should probably choose one most dissimilar from the decks I already have, though (or else rebuild my Nahiri/Balan deck from the ground up as Selesnya, probably under Mirri, though I have an idea for Karametra…. Man, someday I’ll actually like, build decks; but alas, today is not that day).
